POM material, commonly called Acetal or Polyacetal is a remarkable material known for its properties of providing high strength and stiffness, ensuring enhanced dimensional stability and excellent machinability. Its semi-crystalline structure exhibits a low coefficient of friction and excellent wear properties making it ideal for sliding applications. With a high modulus of elasticity, rigidity, and good electrical properties, Polyacetal continuously proves to be a versatile material.

Polyacetal offers excellent resistance to moisture, gasoline, solvents, and many other neutral chemicals. It is recommended for operating temperatures of up to 82°C.

Polyacetal has good dimensional stability and particularly good fatigue strength, as well as excellent machining ability even for complex finished components. Typical product applications for this material include bearings, bushings, electrical insulators, electrical components, gears, machine guides, rollers, timing screws, anti-friction parts, and pulleys.

At Classic Polymers, we specialise in manufacturing Polyacetal in various forms to meet your specific needs. Our range includes rods ranging from 6 mm to 300 mm in diameter, available in metre/foot lengths/custom lengths. Sheets are available in thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 150 mm, with sizes of 2000 mm x 1000 mm, 1000 x 620 mm / Custom Sizes. Additionally, we provide custom-fabricated components tailored to your requirements.
